Chemical Services Unit

Below is a list of commercial services offered by the Department of Chemistry:

• Gas Liquid Chromatography, HPLC for separation of organic mixtures, aqueous solution mixtures.
• High field NMR of liquids or solid samples that can be dissolved in a suitable solvent
• IR spectra of samples in solid/liquid/gaseous form.
• X-ray Diffraction.
• ICP MS/AA
• Chromatography: Gas chromatography with FID or with MS detection (GCFID, GCMS); High performance with liquid chromotography (HPHC), UR, refractive index, fluorescence and evaporatise light scattering detection.
• NMR for solution and solids with broad band for detection of elements other than H and C (P, N, Ge, Sh etc).
• Infra Red (IR) Spectroscopy: solids, liquids and gases.
• XRD
• Mass Spectrometry
