| Chemistry is the Central Science. Chemistry is the study of matter: its structure, its properties and reactions that transform it. Chemistry is the fundamental science of life, and underpins a range of other sciences: Biology, medicine, biochemistry, environmental science, geology and forensic science. Chemistry is paramount to improving the quality of life. Chemistry keeps us fed and keeps us healthy. Chemistry is about providing solutions for the today's problems: Ozone depletion, man-made global warming, environmental damage, pollution, disease. Chemistry is paramount to wealth creation and improving quality of life, whilst maintaining a healthy environment. |
